If you have what it takes to be amongst the chosen 40 Beat Chemist's who will battle it out to reach the finals, then we want to give you a platform where you can perform to hundreds of music lovers…
What’s more! Our 6 independent and carefully selected judges want to see your performance and crown the Middle East’s No. 1 DJ to take away a bundle or prizes as well as international fame and a career to pursue!
STYLE & GENRE:
 We welcome all styles and genres for a versatile audience and a panel of judges that will be there to appreciate your ORIGINALITY!
Whether you play House, R & B, Bollywood, Trance, Hip Hop, Tribal, Minimal... or have invented one of your own… If you are original and can stand up to the challenge, you could be the next DJ to be crowned at PALME!
Equipment at your DJ Booth on stage will include:
- 2 pcs x Vestax PDX-3000MK2 Turntables
- 1 Rane Sixty Eight Mixer
- 2 pcs x Pioneer CDJ-1000MK3

ABOUT THE CONTEST:
 As a contestant, you can enter either of the three categories:
Each DJ will have a 10 min set to turn up the volume, hit the decks and get the crowd to their feet! The pressure will be on to see how our DJ’s perform in front of a live audience and our hard but fair panel of judges.
PREQUALIFICATIONS
Entering the prequalification round in simple. Just follow the steps below:

From the 2 Live Heats our judges will have the hard task of separating the real “Beat Chemists” from the school boys and girls that need to study harder! Only 6 of our PALME DJ of the Year 2011 hopefuls, that made the grades, will be able to compete in the Finals!
WISH TO ATTEND THE DJ COMPETITION?
“You” the audience are our 7th judge! Part of the judging criteria is the “Audience Reaction”, so if you hear what you like, make sure you CHEER!
If you think that one of the DJ contestants doesn’t quite hit the spot, don’t pull your punches and give them a JEER…
